Olympia University of Business & Technology (OUBT) was created to fill ever increasing gap of technology-focused career professionals. Today’s businesses know that to be successful they must turn to technology to help them solve their business problems. To do this there is a need for skilled technologists across every industry and every geography.
Serving and providing both ‘technologists” as well as people who understand how technology enables businesses to succeed, OUBT provides entry to advance and expert level training, credentials and degrees across the spectrum of technologies. OUBT can take a neophyte and within a matter of months provide them the skillsets to enable them to begin their career in a chosen technology field. OUBT can then continue to extend that training through the student to continue growing their skillset, eventually gaining a degree and a more advanced job.
OUBT’s goal is to provide a path to adults who want to move into the technology field with focused skills quickly and then continue their learning to gain their degree.
Access to training in the latest technologies – As a non-profit, OUBT, provides student’s access to a wide and ever-growing list of technologies that are applicable in today’s market. OUBT has connections throughout the tech community just for this reason…to keep up with and ahead of trends in technology and provide training of skills that are in greatest need
Start small and get a Certification or credential – OUBT's programs are designed to provide marketable skills in a matter of months. This results in students gaining career- focused jobs quickly and they can then chose to continue learning more advanced concepts at OUBT, use and grow the skills they acquired in the classroom or take other classes to expand their skills. There is no pressure to “get a degree” in 2 or 4 years. They can easily become tested and certified in their chosen technologies….which proves to potential employers there learned skills and makes them attractive to employers.
Embedded internship programs – With OUBT’s embedded internship programs each student can practice their classroom learned skills in a real world environment under the review of their assigned mentor. Through OUBT’s business partners each student can be assigned to a “live” ongoing project with an established team thus experiencing the teamwork required as well as applying their skills to a real work scenario.
Affordable – As a non-profit, OUBT work very hard to keep costs down. Providing classroom environment as necessary, providing 3 month tightly focused skills programs and using business and corporate partners to sponsor interns. All this work creates an extremely low-cost (to the student) environment.
